some pleasures

we used to have was watch the Golden Globes awards late into the night. See the underdog win, the best performance get credit. Somehow I haven't had the heart to go to the cinema alone. Maybe never will.

great residency

I full week of intense teaching and mentoring at the MFA Low Residency graduate writing program at Converse College this past week and a half. Met all the cool poetry students and superb faculty. It's a rigorous program with back to back lectures, readings, and workshops. A few nights to go out drinking but the winter weather kept us from being out too late.
