Who Is This Guy Anyway?
You're in good hands with Omar. Have Omar your way. Omar, take me away. Please don't squeeze the Omar. The Omar never sleeps. Omar's what your right arm's for. When Omar absolutely, positively has to be there overnight. Say Omar with flowers. Beanz meanz Omarz. Snap! Crackle! Omar! Omar lickin' good. You can break a brolly, but you can't o-nacker an Omar. Got Omar? It's Omar time! Just do Omar. Lipsmackin' thirstquenchin' acetastin' motivatin' goodbuzzin' cooltalkin' highwalkin' fastlivin' evergivin' coolfizzin' Omar. It takes a tough man to make a tender Omar. I liked Omar so much I bought the company. It's a lot less bovver than an Omar. The UnOmar. Omar's everywhere you want to be. Breakfast of Omars. You give us 22 minutes, we'll give you Omar. Let your Omar do the walking.

Gigolo Serenade: Neo-Futurist Pick-Up Line
[Play begins with plain full lights. Then, as piece goes on, lights become more warm. Eventually, it is a spot on Omar. Omar will select a female audience member who is obviously with a man. He will direct all his lines to this woman. Ad lib as necessary.]
Are you enjoying the show so far? [Pause for an answer.] The funny thing about this show is that we don't get to play characters. I don't play a character. It's really me up here. So in a way, you're getting to know me. This gives you the advantage. Other things you may not find out about me from these plays are that I don't think of myself as an actor or a performer. I'm just a guy who wants to have a good time. And this is a good time. Let's see... what else can I tell you about myself... I write poems. I don't want children. I have a day job. I take photographs and paint to relax. I'm a nerd. I write beautiful poems. Some day, I might write beautiful poems for you. [Looks to woman's side.] It looks you've got a boyfriend. That's cool. I know how comforting and stable and easy that can be. The structure of it all. The regularlity. It reminds me of what I thought parents should be like. [Pause.] But sometimes it's about the adventure, isn't it? The excitement of phone calls, knees touching, the first time you... As the song goes, "I know you love one person. So why don't you love two?" [Omar smiles.] I don't get out of the theater until about 12:30. After you send your boyfriend home, why don't you come back. I could buy you dinner as you slip me your number on a napkin. After all, we've got all night for me to write poetry with only a brush, some paint, and your thighs.
[If the audience member's boyfriend starts to get all riled up, someone should call curtain. If the woman freaks out, also call curtain. Otherwise, call curtain after Omar says "thighs."]
(OK, truth be told, this whole thing is Rob's idea cause he's hilarious, and I'm a tool. WMYMWM! Nah-mean?)

Every Friday and Saturday night at 10:30pm, The New York Neo-Futurists perform their critically acclaimed, energetic show of original short plays--a non-illusory collage of the comic and tragic, the political and personal, the visceral and experimental, while embracing chance, change, and chaos.
"Like the glory days of Saturday Night Live, Too Much Light is not just funny but faintly surreal."

so the socialist spanish parliament is about to grant "human rights" to all apes.
Read the story here.
This is a good thing for humanity. Before you begin laughing in derision quoting lines from Charleston Heston in the movie Planet of the Apes, think about these facts: there are presently 3,100 captive apes "living" in the U.S. and 1,280 of them used in biomedical research (statistics from www.greatapeproject.org).
