oh, it's so warm in south florida!

deborah loved the weather and friendly poetry scene down here and insisted she wanted to stay forever. but, hah, the duties of being the new director of nyu's creative writing program pull her back north. she regaled us with wonderful poems from her first book and also a tantalizing selection of new poems. that friday night we had a party at our beach condo where lots of the fiu grad students came and celebrated the nyc poets.
